How to become part of the Shirley Educational Foundation

Our Mission

The Shirley Educational Foundation, Inc. (SEF) is an independent, volunteer 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization committed to enhancing the educational excellence in the public schools of Shirley through the sponsorship of academic challenges, and the awarding of grants for creative programs, instructional resources, and innovative materials.

When you volunteer with SEF you can really make a difference.  We are still a small organization, and will only put on one fundraiser put year.  This year, again, we will put our energy and enthusiasm into our Trail Run/Walk through scenic Holdenwood, Ready, SEF, Go! 2008 on Sunday, October 5, 2008.

Because SEF is a non-profit you can also take advantage of the  tax write-offs with your charitable contribution.  Also, you can rest assured that all donations go directly to SEF which funds in turn are available to our local educators and through their grant applications.
